The King Is Coming Rev. 19:11 - 20:10 The day is coming when Jesus Christ will return to the earth pin person and will reign over the earth for 1000 years. There is only one way that this world can be straightened out (I think now of immigration... oil prices...). There is only one Way to fix this world. It is Jesus and His righteous rule that we need. He will usher in a time of peace, prosperity and righteousness that the world only dreams of today.
I. SATAN IS BOUND FOR A THOUSAND YEARS Peace and righteousness impossible unless Satan is removed. He is the dragon the old serpent, and the "god" of this world. He is behind every evil work, every war, every sin, and all opposition to the Gospel. He is out to get you today. He is too strong to be overcome by human beings and human methods. Man longs for a “golden age.” United Nations useless... politicians promise what they cannot do... laws can’t make men behave or treat each right. Gulf War II will suppress but same spirits will continue to work. Jesus is our Savior and our Conquering King. That roaring lion, the dragon, the old serpent will have his head crushed with the bruised heel of the Mighty Lion of the Tribe of Judah. The one who caused such trouble and woe, sorrow and sickness, destruction and death will be locked away For 1,000 years, the enemy of God will not be able to hinder God's work, tempt God's people, nor will he be able to work in the lives of the lost. Isa 14:16-17 "Those who see you will gaze at you, They will ponder over you, saying, 'Is this the man who made the earth tremble, ...shook kingdoms ...made the world like a wilderness... overthrew its cities...?'
II. CHRIST SETS UP HIS MILLENNIUM THRONE Christ is the King of kings... Jesus will reign over all the world. On that day all will bow. Every person will submit to Christ and His rule whether they want to or not. This did not occur the first time He came: Zec 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth...
Phi 2:9-10 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth... He will receive the glory He has always deserved. All people from every nation will come and bow at His feet and worship the King of Glory! Instead of cursing His name, men will worship Him and shout His praises! He came a poor peasant with no place to lay His head the first time...but He comes as Regal Royalty in Majesty and Glory the second time. He came riding into Jerusalem on a donkey the first time... but He comes riding a white horse “large and in charge” the second time. He came as a suffering Savior, the Lamb of God the first time...but He comes with a roar as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah the second time. No crown of thorns this time...many crowns will be upon His head. He will not be judged by men the next time...He will sit as judge of all men. The saints rule and reign with Him. The blood washed saints come back with the Lord to set up His Kingdom. Rev 20:6 ... they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Rev 1:5-6 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. “Christ will commute from the New Jerusalem to the old Jerusalem on this earth and I suppose that the church also will travel back and forth between its heavenly home and the earth. As Christ in a glorified body mingled with His apostles and followers, so the church in glorified bodies will mingle with the multitudes in their natural bodies here on the earth.” Christians have been laughed at, persecuted, looked down on, even put to death but in that day we will sit in the highest place in God’s Kingdom. We will be by the side of our Savior and we will see the victory we have longed for so very long... Satan and his demons bound and cast into the bottomless pit... the Glorified Son of God King of all creation.
III. THE CONDITIONS DURING THE MILLENNIUM The Jews - God will fulfill His promises to Israel. Palestine belongs to them. Since May of 1948 the nation of Israel is being restored. In the Millennial Kingdom Israel will once again be the center of the world. The condition of the earth - When Adam sinned a curse came upon the earth. Sin brought bondage... weeds... sweat... women deliver children in pain. When Jesus returns He will deliver the earth from the curse. The paradise God intended for the earth will be realized. Isaiah 11:6-9 The condition of the people of the earth - The people that survived the tribulation will pass into the Kingdom Age. These are the ones who did not take the mark of the beast and did not persecute the church or Israel. All who enter the Millennium, out of the Tribulation will do so in their flesh and blood bodies. Isaiah 65:20 All will be the subjects of God’s Kingdom on the earth... not be a democracy but a theocracy. All human rulers are controlled by their lusts for power, for wealth and for self glory. All forms of government have failed. Jesus, on the other hand, will reign in perfect righteousness. Jesus will rule with a rod of iron. Worship will not optional in that day. Zechariah 14:16-17 Various facts: Peace - Cessation of all war by the unification of the nations and the resultant economic prosperity. Justice - Perfect Justice will be administered to every individual in the entire world. Sickness Removed - The King will be a healer, so that sickness and death will vanish, except as a punishment for extreme sin. No oppression - There will be no social, political, racial or religious oppression in that day. Reproduction by the Living People - The living saints who enter the millennium will reproduce. The population of the earth will soar. Labor - There will be no laziness, or welfare. Economic Prosperity - The perfect labor situation will produce economic abundance, so that there will be no want. Unified Language - All language barriers will be removed. Unified Worship - The entire world will worship God and Jesus. The manifest presence of God - God will be present upon the earth, and recognized by man. Fellowship with God will be experienced in an unprecedented degree.
IV. THE FINAL RESULTS OF THE MILLENNIUM Satan is loosed for a little while. Once more he goes forth to deceive and gain a following. They once again attempt to overthrow Christ as King and Lord. They are utterly defeated. Satan cast forever into hell. No matter the surroundings, the advantages, the blessings, these do not change a man’s heart. The heart of a man must be changed from the inside. By Jesus. No matter how good God is to someone, until they are saved by grace and changed by the power of God, they are lost! Are you born again? Have you let Jesus forgive you and raise you to new life? Are you ready to meet Jesus? If He comes today would you be ready? If you were to die today would you be ready? 2 Timothy 2:12 If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.
