Living In The Tribulation Matthew 24:21,22; Revelation 12:11,12 WHAT IF? What will happen if you miss the rapture? What will it be like living in this world after Jesus has come for His church? THE GREAT EVACUATION The church of the Church Age will not go through the tribulation. 1 Thessalonians 1:10 10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.
1 Thessalonians 5:9 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, Just as God made a way for Noah, Lot and Rahab, He will not allow us to endure the wrath that will be poured out on the earth. Jesus will return for His Church to remove us from the terrible time that is soon upon us. Jesus will not allow His bride to be beaten by the antichrist the night before the wedding. Unfortunately many will “miss” the rapture (spewed out)... wise (Philadelphia) and foolish (Laodicean) virgins. The Wrath To Come Joe 2:1-2 1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for [it is] nigh at hand; 2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, [even] to the years of many generations.
Zep 1:14-15 14 The great day of the LORD [is] near, [it is] near, and hasteth greatly, [even] the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. 15 That day [is] a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
Luk 21:25-26 25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Rev 6:15-17 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? These verses all clearly reveal a time of God’s wrath being poured out on the earth. Satan will be turned loose upon man. A GLIMPSE OF THE TRIBULATION WORLD
I. Natural Catastrophes
A. Earthquakes Earthquakes continue to increase in frequency and intensity... in the last 30 years there have been as many major earthquakes as in the entire previous 2000 years of world history! The California quakes...2004 Tsunami killed at least 157,642 people... Katrina’s devastation was a foretaste of such as well.
B. Contaminated water supply C. Dead vegetation D. Darkness and scorching sun
II. Economic depression A. Days wage Revelation 6:5,6 “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” A denarius was a day’s wage for the common laborer. Money will be in short supply. There will be scarcities and the resulting poverty and crime. B. Consequences Revelation 13:16,17 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Unless one swears allegiance to the antichrist they can not buy nor sell. They will be unemployable, rejected by society and cut-off from basic services. “Sharia refers to Islamic law. In the Islamic state sharia governs both public and private lives of those living within the state. Sharia governs many aspects of day-to-day life; politics, economics, banking, business law, contract law, and social issues.” III. Crime A. Restraint removed 2 Thessalonians 2:7 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.
Matthew 24:12 12 “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
Matthew 24:12 (NLT) 12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. Crime will abound because the restraint of the Holy Spirit being removed. People will be hateful, bitter and seething towards each other. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! We are already seeing this now as we approach the last days. B. Tribulation crime Revelation 9:20,21 20 But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands... 21 And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
Romans 1:21-32 26 For this reason (exchanging the truth for the lie) God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; In the last days sexual immorality will abound particularly the sin of homosexuality. Homosexuality is a sign of the last days! Take note of the churches receiving homosexuals. IV. Demonic invasions Revelation 9:5,6, 16-18 Then out of the smoke locusts... to torment (men) for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. 6 In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them. 18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed—by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths. DEATH PREVAILS Revelation 6:7,8 8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.
Revelation 9:18 18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed—by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths. Well over half of the world’s population will die. V. Revival A. “Where sin abounds...” Revelation 7:9,13,14 9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”14 And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. During the Tribulation there will be an amazing and unprecedented revival. Countless souls will be won to Jesus presumably by the army of 144,000 Jewish evangelists. B. Satan’s revival 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Alongside the work of God will be a mighty working of Satan to deceive and ensnare souls. C. Persecution and Martyrdom Revelation 13:7 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. The kingdom of the antichrist will not tolerate Jews or Christians. War will be declared on them.
Revelation 6:9 ... I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.
Revelation 20:4 ...Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. For those who refuse to honor the antichrist there is death. Who is right now the most hated enemy of Jews and Christians? Islam. Mohammed grew increasingly violent and was fond of beheading Jews. Here is what Mohammed wrote in the Koran: Fight and slay the pagans (infidels) wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war. Quran, Sura 9:5
Let not the unbelievers think they will ever get away. They have not the power to do so. Muster against them all the men and cavalry at your command, so that you may strike terror into the enemy of God and your enemy... Prophet, (Muhammed) rouse the faithful to arms! If they (the non-Muslims) incline to peace (accept Islam) make peace with them. Sura 8:59
"Remember thy lord has inspired the angels with the message. Give firmness to the believers and instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers. Smite them above their necks and smite the fingertips of them." Sura 8.12
"When the sacred months have passed, kill the idolaters where ever you find them." Sura 9.5
"When you encounter the unbelievers, Strike off their heads. Until you have made a wide slaughter among them tie up the remaining captives."Sura 47.4 The Afghan who converted was on trial for his life... there are death penalties all over the Moslem world for conversion to Christianity. The Islamic rise in America and Europe is significant and paves the way for the Antichrist to do his dirty work of attempting to wipe out Israel and the church. After the Rapture America will probably stop supporting Israel and the antichrist will attack them. For those living in the tribulation, to accept Christ may be a death sentence. Jesus gives mankind ample warning that the Day is coming! Be ready to evacuate. Luke 21:25-36 Today is the day to be saved! Be Rapture Ready! |
